on the lost side of town
On my fourth of july vacation, I did a lot of fun things. After work on Tuesday, Claire and I went out for food and beer and then went to see You're Gonna Miss Me (the Roky Erickson documentary)which was really good. As suspected, Pittsburgh was featured prominently and gave good face as always. Then we went to Becky's and watched The Facts of Life.
Today we slept in and then went to Cathedral Park in St. John's for a picnic. Then to Target and Home Depot. At Target, I had to buy a strapless bra for a wedding we are going to on Saturday. Yuck. At Home Depot, we spent our giftcard from Cindy on sandpaper and cleaning products.
Soon we will go over to Becky and Sam's house to watch cookout and watch the fireworks because their new house has a great view of downtown. Our kickball team was having a cookout/picnic today but we didn't go because Claire didn't feel like seeing work people on her day off.
The new job is very good. I've been riding my bike to work which is very fun but has left my ass quite sore.
