Paul Hamm
Paul Hamm is not going to the Olys. He's out. His hand hasn't healed, and he's injured his rotator cuff in training with that injury.
We knew it was a long-shot, but still, I'm crushed. I'm sure he's devastated.
Which alternate will USA Gymnastics send in his place? Sasha Arteemev, one of the best pommel horse workers in the world, and certainly the best in the US, but so inconsistant? David Durante, who is good at lots of things but great at none, but at least is consistant? Or Raj Bavasar, two time Olympic alternate who... probably should have made the last Oly team, but did not, and who my heart would love to have make this Oly team, but now really isn't the best choice *for* the team?
