I still want you to give money to Doctors Without Borders, but damn it, how far does a government have to go before we can try the leaders for Crimes Against Humanity? Because the UN just suspended all aid shipments into Myanmar, because the military government was taking the stuff and apparently using it for themselves. And to go one step further, most of the aid workers who are trying to enter the country, and who have been told they can enter the country, are still waiting in Thailand at the Myanmar embassy for their visas. And they were just told they'd have to wait longer, because the embassy just shut down for a holiday weekend.
A. Holiday. Weekend.
Won't reopen until Tuesday, oh, sorry!
100,000+ people are going to die in this thing, and those deaths will NOT be due to the cyclone. Those deaths will rest upon the heads of that government.
Oh, and one more thing: their prime minister (I believe it was), in a show of concern for his people, was just shown giving away free TVs and DVD players. In a country where they do not, currently, have food or sanitation. In a country that, btw, currently has NO ELECTRICITY.
