one week to holiday!
sooo excited for my summer holidays :) not quite sure where we are going, but we know we will start and end in brussels. we've had a mixed bag with couch surfers so far where about half of the places we were thinking about going have hosts that can take us, which isn't too great but i guess that kind of focuses our travels? we're going to be in luxembourg for luxembourg day - but i still don't know why they have their own day? they are not exactly 'independent' and they still have a monarch. dodgy. oh, and muenster to visit babsi is still on the books. apparently we will be there for the euro cup so we'll have some nice football fans amongst us in some westfalian pub.
the down side, i guess, is that i have LOADS of work to do before i go. how the hell do i prep 3 clients for a 2 week departure when they still have deadlines? that, of course, is on top of the random questions i get for researching new environmental issues from all sorts of random people. at least we were able to hire someone to work with me on all of this stuff - they just don't start until i get back! ah!
::necessary side point:: i ordered nachos in the angel and greyhound last week on one of the beautiful sunny arvos i spent in a pub instead of doing other things. they were unbelievably shit.
