Hmm, she seemed tough... I wonder if she was able to beat the Gym Leader? But man... this is the part I hate the most about Gyms, having to fight their underlings...
[Barry sighed as he looked at the giant maze of greenery in front of him. With an infuriated yell, he bolted to the entrance of the maze, hoping to deal with this little annoyance quickly so he can battle the Gym Leader. However, which each new turn he took in the maze, another trainer was waiting for him, and he soon found himself lost after what seemed like ages. His Magmortar was easily able to deal with most of the Pokemon the underlings threw his way, and just when was thinking about using Magmortar to burn this entire maze to a crisp, he stumbled upon the exit to the maze. He excitedly jumped out of the maze, and called out to the empty battle arena that was now laid out before him.]
Alright! I'm done with your stupid games! Now where's the Gym Leader already?! I've already wasted enough time, I have badges to win!!

Well, we meet again, I see. Congratulations for making this far. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Erika, the leader of the Celadon gym. I specialize in grass types. The rules of this gym are simple. We are playing a 3 on 3 battle, and we are able to switch pokemon at any time. However, there is a limit to healing items, one per each pokemon.
That is all. I shall take it that you're ready? And your name?
[Erika held a pokeball in hand, waiting for the boy to respond.]

[Barry yelled so loud that everyone in Celadon would have been able to hear it. The girl with such elegance he met outside the Gym was actually the Gym Leader? Is was almost as if she was toying around with him]
You were the Gym Leader and you didn't even tell me?! You forced me to go through your dumb little hedge maze instead of... I mean, what would compel you to even think of putting that thing in your Gym?! What if I was allergic to mazes?! Or flowers?! OR BOTH?! Did you ever think about..... AHHHHH!
[Barry let out one more yell, grabbing a Pokeball from his belt and throwing it towards the arena. The Pokeball popped open in midair, and a Floatzel emerged and landed on the ground, with a look of confidence that his trainer now shared]
Well whatever, as long as I get my Gym Battle, all that wasted time isn't that big of a deal. The name is Barry, and I'm from the Sinnoh region, so you better remember it! Three Pokemon each? Only one healing item per Pokemon?! That's fine! It doesn't matter to me, because Floatzel is going to be the only Pokemon I need!
Feel free to make the first move after you call your Pokemon... ladies first, as they say!

Yes, me. Well, I am a grass type gym leader after all, and I wouldn't want just anyone barging in to the gym to challenge me. That's be quite frustrating in my part. Have you heard of a gym leader named Green? His gym makes mine look... rather... simple.
[The pokeball in Erika's hand thrown in the air as well, and it revealed a Leafeon, Erika's graceful smile disappeared, and was replaced with a sudden look of determination]
Pleasure to meet you Barry... The Sinnoh region? Then I suspect that this pokemon is familiar to you. Leafeon, start us off... My turn? Hmm, then I shall start with, Leafeon, Arial Ace!
[Leafeon jumped, and charged at the Flotzel]

[Barry turned his attention away from the Gym Leader, and instead began to focus on the battle itself.]
Leafeon? Of course I'm familiar with that....and....huh? Aerial Ace, I didn't even think Leafeon could learn Aerial Ace. No matter, if you're not gonna come after us with your signature Grass moves, then we have no need to worry! Take the hit like a champ Floatzel, and soak this place up with Rain Dance!
[Floatzel nodded, and stood his ground as Leafeon closed in with the Aerial Ace. The move painfully sliced across Floatzel's chest, which caused him to drop down on one knee. Floatzel immediately reacted by lifting his hands up in the air, which summoned a raincloud so large it covered the entire arena. Soon, raindrops began falling at an alarmingly fast rate, and Barry couldn't help but smile.]
And thanks to Floatzel's special ability, he gets to move twice as fast in the rain... just the way I like it! You may be going easy on us, but I'll be showing no mercy! Floatzel, follow up with a quick Ice Punch! Knock that Leafeon away!

[Leafeon seemed quite happy with the sudden downpour, splashing a newly made puddle]
Quite a strategy--- Leafeon! Try to dodge it! And grass knot!
[Leafeon tried to dodge the incoming attack, but only did so partially. It lost balance from the after shock of the attack and fell, but quickly got up to use grass knot, in order to trip Floatzel. However, it looked like it was in pain]
...Just hang in there Leafeon, we're almost there--!
Reply
Floatzel! Don't let up!! Close the gap! One more Ice Punch!
[Floatzel quickly obeyed his trainer, running up to Leafeon who was still recovering from the first attacking in order to finish it with a second Ice Punch. However, due to how fast it was moving in the rain, it wasn't able to notice the Grass Knot that was placed right in his path. By the time he realized it, he already found himself smashing hard on the floor, the momentum his speed brought him adding just enough damage to knock him out.]
W-What?! You mean the speed worked against us?! Darn it... Floatzel, return!
[Barry called the unconscious Floatzel back into his Pokeball, and immediately threw a second one into the arena. Once the Pokeball opened up, a Torterra materialized.]
Fine, let's fight grass with grass!
Reply
[Leafeon looked quite fatigued from the hit he received, and it was going to fall any moment. However, no one could miss the look of pride in his face.]
Hmm, a Torterra? I haven't seen one yet, but I have heard a lot about it. Leafeon, use--
[Unfortunately, Leafeon fainted from the entrance of Torterra, as it shook the ground. Leafeon fell to the floor]
...You fought well Leafeon, I'm proud.
[Leafeon returned to the pokeball, and the Pokeball thrown in mid-air revealed Roselia.]
Alright, on to our next match then.

Torterra, let's start things off with Crunch!
[Torterra nodded, moving as fast as its large figure was able to go towards his target. When he reached Roselia, he opened his mouth wide, and tried to bite down on Roselia's side]
Reply
[Roselia jumped up right before Torterra bit down, and in to the air. Here, she released yellow powder, sprinkling down towards Torterra]
...
[At this time, Erika was far too concentrated in to the battle.]
Reply
[Torterra attempted to avoid the Stun Spore, but the range was so wide that it was able to cover most of Torterra's body anyways]
Tch... just a minor setback! Torterra, keep your distance now and attack Roselia with Seed Bomb!
[Torterra attempted to execute the attack his Trainer commanded, but the Stun Spore began to make quick work on his nerves, and glued Torterra to the spot. Barry soon noticed that his Torterra wasn't able to move, and began to panic]

[A shadowy blob was created between Roselia's roses, and aimed at the paralyzed Torterra, however, the impact of the shadow ball caused Roselia to fall over, covering some parts of Roselia in to the spore as well. Unfortunately, Erika didn't realize this.]
Roselia, be careful!
Reply
[As Barry was trying to frantically explain himself to Erika, the Shadow Ball hit Torterra directly in the face, who didn't even get a chance to dodge it because of the paralysis. This soon snapped Barry's attention back to the battle, and he quickly noticed that Torterra's physical condition was not looking good after that attack. Contemplating between switching him out or not for a few moments, Barry eventually decided to take the chance and try to call out another attack]
Thanks to that paralysis, you're twice as slow Torterra... so we're sticking with the same plan! Keep your distance, but this time use Earthquake! Don't let that paralysis push you around! Overcome it and show it who's boss!
[Torterra struggled to execute his attack at first, but eventually found the chance to overcome the numbness in his body. He lifted himself up on his two hind legs for a a split second, and then came crashing down with ferocious strength, sending a shockwave that shook the entie arena]

[Erika had noticed that Roselia wasn't able to move, and realized that the stun spore on the floor had affected Roselia as well. This meant that Erika had no choice but to watch Roselia get hit with Earthquake, while trying to stay in balance herself]
Err... Roselia, of course! Why didn't I realize this before... It seems that Stun Spore has played against us...
[Roselia was on her knees by the time the Earth Quake was over, barely holding on, the paralysis making the condition worse]
Roselia, this is our last chance! Giga Drain!
[Roselia put her rose buds together, about to drain energy from Torterra. Unfortunately, the gap was far too wide, and the paralysis did not allow Roselia's attack to reach Torterra. Overcome by fatigue, Roselia fell.]
You fought well, Roselia. Good job...
[Erika returned Roselia to her Pokeball, and threw the next one in to the arena. It revealed a slightly lazy-looking Tangela]
Reply
[Barry called back his Torterra, and threw out his final Pokemon onto the field. A Rhyperior materialized from the open Pokeball, and he let out a mighty roar as he smashed his two fists together]
Even with your heavy weakness to grass, you shouldn't have to much of a problem against this Rhyperior! Let's finish this match with a Fire Punch!
[The massive Rhyperior began to lumber towards the very seemingly uninterested Tangela across the field, moving at a speed even slower than the Torterra who fought before him. As he inched closer and closer, his fist began to engulf itself in a crimson flame]

Now, don't be so sure. Things are never what they seem. Angela, whenever your ready- Power Whip!
[Angela finally looked up to the slow-moving Rhyperior, a sudden fierce look in her eyes. Her vines whipped out in to the direction of the Rhyperior at a menacingly fast speed]
