Zebstrika was an incredibly fast Pokemon, not to mention the fact that it could learn such varied attacks like Flame Charge, whatever that one was. It was at least a fire-type attack, but that was all he could gather from it.
Regardless, as soon as they got in, Elesa had a Magneton in her grasp. That was... incredibly quick. He had to admit that she was already impressing him.
"Oh, uh. Forget about that! It ain't that important!" He shrugged off what he said earlier and gestured to the steel Pokemon's new spherical home.
"What you just got's a Magneton. It's an electric- and steel-type Pokemon, so it's got a lotta resistances any ol' electric-type can't have. It also means it's doubly effective to ground attacks, though!"
How a Pokemon like Magneton didn't have the ability Levitate was beyond him. Even an Earthquake could reach it and kill it in an instant.
"Those are around here, and so are Magnemite. Voltorb, Electrode, Electabuzz, and..."
Aaaaand a little electric mouse that just scurried from one machine to hide behind another.
"... Pikachu!"

"Magneton, Magneton... I guess this is what Klink would be like if it had electricity running through it."
Perhaps this would be something to show to the Professors Juniper when she got back home. Elesa smiled and patted Zebstrika on the head. "You did well." she murmured, before giving it a Sitrus Berry. Zebstrika happiily accepted before gearing itself up for another battle.
Surge's cry of "Pikachu!" did not go unnoticed by her as she quickly turned to see a little electric mouse with that distinctive tail.
"They're quick, aren't they?" she murmured. "Oh, I'll catch you..."
It was so exciting, the rush of Pokemon catching. And of her favourite types too. Her heart was fluttering and she looked absolutely overjoyed and radiant.
It's a shame that Pikachu wasn't coming out from behind the machine though. Elesa decided to wait, and bide her time. She put out another Sitrus Berry on the floor and rolled it towards the machine so that it was halfway between her and the Pikachu. Now to wait.

The mouse Pokemon slowly peeked its head out after a minute or two. It sniffed the berry cautiously and looked up at Elesa all the while.
After another couple of minutes, it finally emerged entirely and began to eat the berry. With that, Surge whispered, "Go for it...!"

... And it escaped again, a moment later. But either this Pikachu was a glutton or it just didn't noticed that it was temporarily in a Poke Ball that it continued eating.
"Hmm." said Elesa thoughtfully as she held a Sitrus Berry in her hand. The Pikachu went "PIKA!" and scampered towards her. Now the Pikachu had jumped on her to get the berry, knocking her off her feet.
"Hey, hey hey - wait!" Elesa scrambled to get her arms around the Pikachu. "I'll give you another berry if you agree to be mine."
"Piiii?"
"Yes, I'll give you the berry. But you need to promise to be Elesa's Pikachu."
"Piiiiiii!"
"Okay? That's smashing."
And with that, Elesa gave the Pikachu another berry. She hoped that she wouldn't have to give him more of them to ensure his loyalty but it seemed trusting enough. With that, she stood up with the Pikachu still in her arms and turned to face the watching Lieutenant.
"Is that a normal method of catching Pokemon, Surge?"
Reply
Surge could only give Elesa a bit of a bewildered stare.
"Uh... right? Where's all the battling shit? Where's actually catching it with a Poke Ball? If all Pokemon catching was like that, that'd be pretty boring!"
Surge was a man of action, not... really cute methods like this.
Reply
Whether she was saying that to Surge or to her new Pikachu who she just placed on Zebstrika's back, that was for anybody to guess.
"There is much to gain from Pokemon's friendship, so perhaps I try to avoid catching them directly. I learned that from a young man. I do love battling though, so perhaps you treat them more as your platoon and I as my cohort."
Placing a hand on her hip, she watched as Emolga fluttered to their new companion of a Pikachu. Pikachu, of course was not sharing its berry and attempted to finish it before Emolga could get to it. Zebstrika seemed oblivious and waited for Elesa's orders. In response, she placed a hand on his mane.
"Are there any more interesting Pokemon I should attempt to catch? Because I am happy as of now with Magneton and Pikachu. You have a lovely Power Plant."

That platoon comment was quick to grab his attention, though, he must admit. Of course, he was going to answer her question before he jumped back to that subject later. He was at least somewhat courteous to a lady. Somewhat.
"Lessee, you saw Magnemite and Magneton, Pikachu... and there's Voltorb and Electabuzz! You haven't seen them yet, huh?" Surge slipped out a Poke Ball and twirled it on his finger with ease. It contained one of his favorite little soldiers. "I'd at least recommend an Electabuzz, but they're hella rare out here. They're really worth it, though! I mean, look what they evolve into!"
He let the Poke Ball drop. He caught it in his hand and tossed it immediately after, releasing the aforementioned Electabuzz evolution: Electivire. It came out with a mighty snarl and looked to Elesa. It then... held out its hand for a shake.
Bulky and strengthened as it was, it could be nice, too.
"Here's Electivire, part of my platoon."
Reply
"Electabuzz?" She tilted her head and looked at the Electivire towering over her now. "No, no, Electivire, yes?"
Gingerly reaching out and shaking the Electivire's hand, Elesa smiled and looked at it dearingly with such admiration in a way that any man would kill for.
"You're pretty strong, aren't you? Will you help me find an Electabuzz? They're rare here, but I think you can help me."
Elesa always had a great connection with Electric Pokemon, like she felt an affinity for them that she didn't have with many others. Plus Electivire was kinda cute, in a Beartic kind of way - grizzly and strong but a nice guy too.
Then it struck her - maybe that's what Surge was like. Except he was probably more of a douche than grizzly.

"Vi vire," the Pokemon grumbled, pointing to an area behind even more machinery. It ran off, expecting Elesa and Surge to follow along.
"Looks like he found something! See? Electivire knows how to do ANYTHING," Surge commented, elbowing Elesa. "Just like his master!"
He then followed along.

The group followed Electivire through the labyrinth. Whatever Electivire was chasing seemed pretty elusive or running away because it was a while before Electivire stopped and pointed his hand, paw... appendage towards something in the distance.
"Vi." it gruffed.
"Hm?" Elesa looked up at the Electric Pokemon towering above her. "What now?"

It was a young Elekid. Did this thing have a parent in the Power Plant? Probably, because Elekid weren't at all inhabitants except for once in a blue moon. That is, unless a trainer came in and caught the Elekid's parents, or if... something else happened to them.
It shrunk back, its plug-like head engulfed in electricity. It was a feisty one.
"Well, shiiiiiit, you sure got lucky. These aren't around very much here!"
Reply
"What's that? I've never seen that before. Is that an Electabuzz? It's cuter than I expected. It looks like a power plug - how adorable! It's so shocking, so brilliantly electrifying! And so tiny as well - it has to be a first stage Pokemon or something - It's literally made for electricity and made for Electric Pokemon lovers like me!"
Then she realised what she was doing, and let go. With a cough and a brush of her own arm.
"Lovely. It looks... feisty."
