[Well, getting there was an adventure of itself. Thank goodness he'd managed to make it through Victory Road once before; Honchkrow could carry him over it this time. Coming back would be a problem, though.

After passing through the front room, Lucas found his way to the library. He knocked carefully on the door, peeking his head into gawk at the huge expanse of bookshelves.]

Cynthia...?

[Looks up when she hears her name, smiling at the trainer]

Hello Lucas! Come in. [Gets up and gestures the other to come in, Lucario bowing slightly as well]

[he beams, making his way to her.] Hello! I'm not late, am I?

[oh, hi Lucario! He smiles at the bow before catching sight of the book pile. Woah, that's a lot.]

So are these the books? [He laughs.] I thought you said you only had a few!

[Shakes her head] No, you're on time. [Lucario disappears to find more books. It's very important he does.]

Ah, yes, well [Gives a small smile, that's kind of sheepish at the same time] It seems that I have a lot more than I had originally thought I had... Although it may be possible a lot of it is repetitive... We may have to sort them out once again?

Sorting? Sure, we can do that! [he picks up the book on top of the pile and slides into the seat across from hers.] Kanto's Legends: Birds of Fire, Ice and Lightning. Huh, maybe that's what mister Koga saw...

[flipping through the pages absentmindedly. He'll get absorbed if he starts actually reading, so he's just skimming for now.]

[Is about to pick up a book when...]

Mr. Koga? [Ah, that book.] Did he tell you about the legendary birds?

Um, on my network post he told me a story about seeing some kind of bird of fire while training. It sounded really amazing...

[sure, they've seen Giratina and Palkia and Dialga and such but to see a legend like that in that situation would have been so cool]

Have you ever seen a legend like that, Cynthia? Outside of the Galactic fiasco...

Oh, I see. It must be... Moltres, I believe the name is.

[Forms her lip to a tight line, pondering]

Well... I have searched for them, of course. But since Team Galactic's fall, I haven't been able to see any legendaries, except Mespirit.

[A pause... hmm..] Perhaps your search will bring you to see them?

[he nods at "Moltres." Sounds right.]

And Mesprit is Dawn's, so...

[he trails off, then looks eagerly back up at Cynthia.] I really hope so! It would be fascinating... I wonder how dangerous it would be, though...

[oops, his eyes look distant; he's staring off into space. He got lost in fantasy-legendary-land.]

I believe it would be quite the adventure... [Trails off in her own thoughts, when she suddenly speaks up]

So Lucas, what are your current plans for your research? Any specific goals you're searching for?

Oh-- [derp what i mean i was paying attention the whole time] --Well, I've been especially pointed in the direction of Johto's Ecruteak, and Violet a bit as well. So I suppose i'll be heading there, to possibly talk to Morty...

Also, Wallace [Wallace talked to him hfddsas] mentioned a lot about Rayquaza and the Cave of Origins, so I might go to Hoenn, too!

[Nods approvingly] Johto and Kanto are connected through the region's Pokemon League, so if you make your way to Johto, I believe you can also complete your research in Kanto.

[Then eyes light up; are you ready for this?] Ah! Rayquaza! Wallace has told me many things about it, but I have never been able to visit. Wallace has told me it is up in the Sky Pillar, but I've heard that it's a dangerous location... [Trails off. More pondering]

Ah, all right then! That'll be convenient.

[OH BOY, TL;DRs] Yeah, he told me that, too... [a small frown.] But, he also said that if I was only studying... So I was thinking I might give it a try. Maybe. [he really hasn't been one for danger, so he'd be going out on a limb there, but FOR SCIENCE for the Professor, he might attempt it...]

[Nods, still deep in her own thoughts; she's talking to her self now Oh God;;] Hmm... I heard it was up in high altitudes, so proper equipment may be necessary. And we know nothing about Raquaza's behavior, so it may also be a good idea to somehow get more information... Oh!

[She realizes she's talking to herself] Pardon me, Lucas! I was lost in my thoughts... How do you plan to approach this though?

[he watches her while she monologues. Yay, Cynthia being smart! \o/]

Oh, it's no problem. [He laughs.] But, I guess.. I'm not sure. You made some good points, there, however. [When you were talking to yourself.] I should probably read up on Rayquaza beforehand...

Ah! I'm sure I have books concerning him somewhere... [Just then, Lucario comes back, with another 2-3 books or so] Oh! Lucario, have you found the book on Hoenn's myths? [The pokemon nods, setting them down on the table to grab the top one, handing it over to Cynthia] Thank you.
