[Koga is still attempting to get used to his surroundings. But for now, he will meditate like a ninja in the garden at the back.

His room has faaaar too many books in it. He prefers to hang upside down in the trees. Like is Crobat who is hanging on the same branch.]

[In the midst of their conversation, Fantina happened to glance beyond at the surrounding trees. To her surprise, she spots a man hanging upside down in a tree, besides a Crobat. She stood up and pointed to the man in shock!]

Oh mon cher Arceus! Cynthia, can you please be telling me something! Are mes eyes playing a trick on moi, or is that a spy amongst us in the castle? C'est tres horrible!

[ Wallace's head swivels around to whatever Fantina is looking at. That's... certainly strange, but then again, he's seen weirder things. ]

I don't think that is necessarily a spy, Fantina... although I don't recognize him at all! Tell us, Cynthia, is he a new addition to the Sinnoh league?

[Cynthia turns her head around as well, finding Koga... hanging from a tree. She gives a small chuckle]

Ah, he is Koga, from the Kanto and Johto Elite Four. He will be with us for a month, replacing Lucian's spot in the League. [A short pause] The League Council has decided that we shall be conducting an exchange program of sort amongst the Leagues, in order to bring them closer together. [A smile, after that rather long explanation, she turns to Koga,]

Mr Koga? My colleagues would like to be introduced to you, if it is not too much problem.

[Suddenly, there is a voice from behind the tree.]

Koga, it's not very kind to frighten Cynthia's guests.

[And there's Bertha, stepping out and staring up with a slight frown at the upside-down Koga. She looks particularly short next to the height of the tree and the ninja's position in it.]

Besides, all that time upside-down must be bad for your poor brain! I've heard of taking a different point of view, but...

[It's a little hard to tell if she's trying to be joking or actually serious. The truth is that she's somewhere in between.]

[And she saw Bertha! Her face lit up with a smile.]

[Koga grins, then gracefully flips from the tree and onto the ground infront of the group, smiling.]

My apologies, Lady Cynthia. I mean no harm to your guests.

[A small, polite bow to the group as a whole, then Koga straighens up and adjusts his scarf in a way that would make Wallace proud with a flourish.]

And Bertha, I assure you that the reverse meditative position is very safe. We ninja are capable of hanging upside down for hours on end and have coped with such things as vertigo.

Before I get ahead of myself, I am Koga of the Kanto Elite Four. Poison master and ninja, formerly of Fuschia - at your service.

[Bertha turns and takes Wallace's hand, giving him a warm smile.] Wallace, you said? From Hoenn! My, my, you've traveled such a distance! It's an honor to meet you, sir.

[Koga shakes Wallace's hand in a firm grip before executing a short bow.]

Yes, I was a gym leader before a member of the Elite Four. Now the gym is in the posession of my daughter.

[He then turns to Fantina, and executes a graceful bow.]

[Fantina basks in Bertha's hug. Her hug was warm and motherly, something she hasn't been able to receive for quite a while.]

Bertha! It is great, non, that your Rhyperior is tres inspired to dance! I think that all pokemons 'ave their most unique strengths, and I am sure your Rhyperior will be most able to learn and adapt les dance moves to win les challengers.

[She turned to Koga, and gives a curtsy of respect.]

I must apologize for les tres 'orrible mistakes. C'est un embarrassment for moi. I must introduce myself. [a pause, and a small curtsy again.] I am Fantina, la gym leader de 'earthome Gym. I am tres pleased and 'onored to be able to make your acquaintance.

[Cynthia just... blinks. For a bit, because you know, seeing Bertha come out from behind the tree is just... random. But she realizes she was being addressed by Koga, and composes herself]

Oh no, Koga, it's nothing to apologize for. I should have formally introduced everyone...

Bertha, I take it that you have received my message as well? [A small, but confident smirk is on her lips now]
