"Hey, Ethan-" and then he abruptly stops talking as a Rattata makes a wild dive for the floor. He lunges to catch it mid-leap; it squirms in his grip, squeaking madly, but Green just straightens while cursing under his breath.

Then, he thrusts the small creature at Ethan. "-Congratulations, this one's yours. Where's Silver?"

Silver had heard the doorbell from his room; but having recently stepped out of the shower, he'd not managed to make his way downstairs in time to answer it. He wasn't about to run through the house in nothing but a towel, after all.

He slung the towel he'd been using to dry his hair with over his shoulder, in an attempt to prevent the excess water from dripping down his back, and set off down the hallway. He could hear the voices, although barely, from here - and he couldn't work out who was at the door, though one thing was certain.

He descended the stairs, buttoning his shirt up as he did so. "Ethan," he said, a tone of mild annoyance slipping into his speech. "What did I say about answering the door?"

Oh, good, Ethan wasn't going to be a bitch about this like Silver was inevitably going to be. At least that's one less Pokémon Green had to worry about.

As Ethan began to turn to see where Silver was, the redhead appeared. "Well, look who it is," Green called with his typical jerk grin. "Just woke up? ...Late night last night?"

Eevee saw Silver and immediately abandoned her trainer for him, her nose in the air as she trotted over. She curled around one of Silver's legs to give him a fond hello.

Also, there were still Rattata. And they were still squeaking.
