Thoughts:

1) Angry squig is angry. Delicious gretchen is delicious.
2) You'd think that, when your magical specialty involves freeze-drying your immediate surroundings, you'd be inclined to wear something besides a metal speedo and pasties.

Don't be silly. Anyone can see that her real power comes from those gravity-defying tits, which must be as bare as possible at all times for full magical efficacy.

Here's what I find fascinating: All the encounters involving male characters in this video are those of either violent enemies or respectful allies. However, the interaction between the only two obviously female characters is neither overtly violent nor respectful--but flirtatious.

... I suppose I should stop fooling around with livejournal and get back to reading about hegemonic masculinity as homophobia...

Or possibly Fantasy College Lesbians.

Oh, I've gone around in a circle.

That is interesting...

In keeping with the various themes of the Warhammer World, however, you'll note that the High Elf archer is appropriately fully armored for battle and her encounter with the half-shirtless male chaos warrior is entirely an exchange of violent enemies. She also stands respectfully with her allies as they wait for the Lord of Change to come through the gate. It's worth noting, as you know, that the sex of the Dwarf character depicted is indeterminate.

The Dark Elf sorceress also has brief encounters with several male characters which seems to lead to the horrible death of at least one. We have to investigate the culture of the sorceress to discover why she is "flirtatious" with the female High Elf.

The Dark Elves in Warhammer are not so much a different race of elves. They are more accurately corrupt elves, who would like nothing more than to corrupt their "unenlightened" kin. Judging by her attire, this Elf is probably a member of the Cult of SlaaneshThe Witch Elves prowl the streets of the Dark Elf ( ... )

No, the official name of the Warhammer world is "The Old World." And they certainly do subscribe to some old old-world values about those who cannot "control" themselves and resist "temptation."

Well, obviously. But you'd think, with the localized winter wonderland, she'd prefer weapon-holsters made from a less-conductive material.

Then again, maybe that's how they're held on in the first place--the "tongue-on-a-cold-flagpole" principle.

Well, if roadtoad's speculations about her religious affiliation are correct, perhaps she's getting off on the extreme cold. After all... "Slaanesh's followers revel in sensory excess... inevitably driven to extremes in search of experiences intense enough to sate their infinite lust."
