Have you ever missed someone you never met? Someone you knew would look at you and depend on you in ways no one else ever has.
Little toes, hand wrinkles, soft skin, and that clean right-after-a-bath smell.
I am thankful, but I have lost somone I love. There's nothing to compare it to and nothing clever to say...
At least I can know and trust the One who my child is with. And hopefully I will understand how this all works one day. How heaven works and where people's words and encouraging comments fit in eternity. I don't know pain like this; I have never experienced loss quite like this.
