Magic - outside a bar

Feb 11, 2010 00:31

Buildings and fire don't get along all that well, so I figured I'd be a good patron/citizen and practice my fire-based illusions and magic outside. Some people think magic is all smoke and mirrors. To be fair, most of it is. However, one might say that I am the exception to that general 'rule'. While I have put to use both smoke and mirrors (please don't ask me about the bit with the mirrors), I tend to not need them for all of my stage tricks.

I use fire often, because I can control it well enough that my tricks don't fail. Sometimes I can get wind to work nicely for me. But damn the earth magic, it doesn't seem to like me much.

Anyway, currently, I'm spending my 'down time' out here making flame columns - short ones, tall ones, skinny ones, fat ones, bright ones, dim ones - it's all about control.
