So, Jack, he's a bright guy, he managed to meander-limp himself out of the building (he's still got that bad knee) - once he realized it wasn't some extremely elaborate hoax. He's still not entirely sure where he is, but, so far, he's thinking it's better than where he was

Molly shuts the front gate to 'her' house, and shakes her head. They even got the gate squeak right! It's a little, well, distressing, really. She glances up, and nods. "Evening."

Jack looks up at the lady who's recently closed a squeaky gate. He's glad he found something other than his prison-issue jumpsuit to wear - less explanations required that way. He nods politely to the woman. "Evening."

"New around here?" She's... well, she's smiling, but her face really isn't accustomed to it anymore. She has that look to her that screams 'law enforcement.'

He nods again. "I am. You?" he asks. He's familiar with that 'law enforcement' look, he used to have it himself. Years ago.

"Been coming here for..." She frowns. "Weeks, I think. Time feels a little funny here."

"Feels funny? How's that?" he asks with a concerned frown.

She strokes her chin, thinking about it. "Like, it's moving at different paces."

"Different as compared to what?" From his experience, time is relative - more or less.

"Itself." She arches an eyebrow.

He offers up another frown. "Okay, now you're not making any sense."

Molly thought she was making perfect sense. "Where are you getting confused at?"

"You said time was moving different compared to itself. Since time is, more or less, constant, I don't see how that's possible." Hooray for high school science!

"Except for the fact that it feels like time isn't constant here. Whereas usually it's just a saying that minutes felt like hours, here it sometimes feels like it's actual."

"Okay, that makes more sense. Haven't experienced that, but it took me three days to determine this wasn't some sick joke by the guys on my block."

Her eyebrow arches, a trick taught her by an old man. "Block?"

"The place I was before I was here." So, he's being vague - on purpose - he's still not entirely sure this isn't an elaborate gag, but he's giving it the benefit of the doubt.
