It's weird - and a little creepy to hear someone respond. He hadn't really expected an answer.
Kira turned to regard the boy; he doesn't seem like a threat. Seemed there was no need to have his guard up - but in this place, he can't really afford to assume anything.
"Oh. I see." The captain paused, considered that answer; well - it was unreasonable to expect the first soul he encountered to have every piece of the puzzle, now wasn't it?
"I cannot seem to find the way back," Although he hadn't looked that hard, either; he'd only sort of come to terms with the fact that he was here in the first place.
He rubbed at his brow, trying to dispel the odd ache there. "I think I need to leave..."
"I think so..." Kira didn't see the door he'd come through. He wasn't even sure he was looking in the right spot. But he had walked in a straight line, hadn't he?
"I need to sit down." The shinigami said; the ache in his head was getting a trifle worse.
"All right." It did feel like something was pressing in around him; like the air was heavier than it should be.
Kira followed the boy to the bar; his layers of clothing seemed as if they were made of lead by the time they reached the interior. He was glad to sit and just remained still for a moment.
"If I might ask something somewhat strange... are all of the people who inhabit this place alive?"
"I see," Well, then this probably wasn't some area of Soul Society, then. He admitted, he wasn't familiar with every section of the Rukongai, and could have ended up in one of them... somehow. But the dead there were very much aware of the fact.
He sipped the water, silent for a few minutes.
Kira eventually remembered his manners. "Thank you - err, Roxas, was it?"
"Mine...?" Kira wrapped both hands around the glass; it was obvious he wasn't entirely comfortable answering.
"My world is one of the afterlife. Although I sit before you now, seemingly the same as you, I am a spirit. A shinigami. A reaper - however you choose to term it. There are as many words for us as there are stars in the sky."

"Yes - I was the one. What is this place?"

"Yes. Is this a dangerous area?"

"Kira." He finally decided on, with the faint hint of a smile. "There's a town?"
