On a whim last night, I picked up a copy of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to give it a try. For some reason, I end up trying Star Wars games quite often. This is strange when you consider that I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars. I mean, yeah...I like it and I've seen plenty of it and I recognize the characters, but I don't go ga-ga over it

I agree, though. People need to go to Wii Interface School or something to learn how to code for it.

Here's the rule interface makers should live by in an action game for the Wii-- don't do anything using the motion controls that you wouldn't first agree to do by making someone waggle a joystick back and forth. Waggling a joystick is frustrating as hell, and so is trying to flail a Wiimote around.
Alternately, give me true motion control. If I swing the Wiimote a certain way, make the light saber move exactly that way, and don't expect me to use any buttons on it while I do.
IMHO, if you want to see perfection of non-standard interface, go download Lost Winds on WiiWare. It uses the IR pointer instead of the motion controls, but oh...the things you can do with it!
