I value my privacy.

i've been getting people "stumbling into my livejournal" every now and then, and some of them leave me messages and the like to let me know, and this is all marvelous, except that i treat this, for the most part, as a journal. if someone really wants to read about my thoughts, that's fine and i have no problems with it. i just want to know who is seeing aforementioned thoughts before they do.

to this end i have MANUALLY converted over a year and two months' worth of journal entries into "friends only."

i value my privacy, and hope that nobody is bothered by this. i'm leaving this message public so it can be replied to, and maybe i'll add to my friends list. just in case.

as of july 3, 2005, my friends list shrinks again.
i'm not one to waste other people's time if i can help it, and by eliminating distractions maybe i can waste less of my own time. though i don't expect this to make sense, i want to be able to check my friends list without hoping for reminders of things that once were. insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.
