So, I was looking at ticket prices for the Police reunion concert in Denver, and I noticed something that has been happening quite a bit, lately. Tickets have become so over-priced that they now seem to think it's okay to sell out the sections BEHIND the stage, provided they are priced at half of what the seats in front of the stage cost.

Who wants to go to a concert and sit behind the stage? If I'm going to pay $210.00 (which I am not) to go see a legendary band play, I should expect that they make every effort to give me my two-hundred and ten dollars worth. Since most event centers are designed for sports, they usually have an oval shaped seating chart, requiring a stage to be set up in the center of the arena.

No concert should ever compromise the sound quality of what is to be presented. An oval-shaped echo chamber is not fit for a live concert. The primary reason for being in the audience is to hear live music being played. Furthermore, no concert should ever have seats available BEHIND the stage, since the secondary reason for being there is to watch the musicians play the live music.

This really irritates me.
