drunk drivers
I was driving home from band practice last night, and on Hiway 36 between Baseline and Table Mesa I saw a car bounce off the median, then immediately do a 180 and soar into the ditch. It then jumped a drainage ditch, a fence, and then hit a tree.
I was the first person to the scene, and I was pretty shocked to see that his emergency flasher lights were already on. That seemed like a good sign to me, considering the car was suspended on a bunch of shit, and smashed up against a tree. A few guys who lived nearby heard the crash and ran over with me to check on the driver. He hit his head on the windshield, and was pretty out of it, but we realized he was beyond drunk, once we got the door open. It smelled like someone spilled a bottle of whiskey all over him -- he was like, sweating alcohol. He was so out of it, that we weren't sure if it was because of the accident, or because he was completely wasted.
Fucking stupid shit.
