Why doesn't anyone like me?
The punk show last night was a blast, as usual, but somewhat disappointing. We got there in time to catch a few songs by Slick Shoes. Then The Eyeliners came on. As you can guess by the name they're a girl band. Mmmm....sexual. Apparently the lead singer is also the drummer, but they had this kid drumming for them live. He was acting all zany the whole time! I didn't find out until we left they they were giving out Eyeliners posters. CRYING!! Then Yellocard came on and tore it up. This is acutlaly the second time i've seen Yellowcard and Slick Shoes together. Last time was with Less Than Jake, who fucking kicked ass! So the last band was No Use For A Name. Believe me, there's a reson they don't need a name. They played their fisrt song or 2, then some guy in the crowd yells out "Why doesn't anyone like you??", to whicht he singer replied "Why doesn't anyone like you? Ask your friends!" They played another song and we all decided to leave because the band sucked! They were like mix of punk and alternative or something, which didn't seem to work out too well. The decision to cut out was unanimous.
This was also the first time I've driven my car more than 40 miles from home. She did suprisingly well! Kinda lagged down to 80-85mph over the Altamont pass, but smooth sailing otherwise.
