It was cloudy and rainy today, and Terry had decided to spend some time catching up on his personal reading. He'd got into Muggle crime novels recently, and he'd just started another novel by Patricia Cornwell, called Cause of Death. As he turned from page 33 to page 34, he heard his best mate's voice coming from the stairs.

"Oi, Corner. 'Course you can. What's up, mate?"

Michael plopped down on the couch next to Terry. "Have you talked to Lisa, in the last, say, day or so? Since breakfast yesterday?" He grabbed a throw pillow and fiddled with it.

Terry wondered why Michael seemed a bit nervous.

"No, not since Friday evening." He gave Michael a long look. "Is there some big mystery I'm missing out on?"

"Mystery? Uh, not really?" He fiddled with the pillow some more and then dropped it on the floor. He put his face in his hands.
