On behalf of the Parkinson family, I wanted to thank you for your discretion regarding Oren's current status. I know the fact he did not receive a letter from Hogwarts did not escape you, and I want to thank you for not pressing for more information.
As you may have gathered, Oren is a Squib. This news was a shock to our family, but we plan to support his happiness and education as best we can. Hermione Granger has been a wonderful help with researching opportunities, as well.
Violet is handling the situation as best she can; I am very proud of her. So far, her friends have been staying quiet. I'm not sure how she managed that, but I haven't questioned her methods. She is too much like me, I'm afraid.
