Katie woke up with her alarm at five o' clock. Today, she was going with Kev to the Harpies pitch in Holyhead so she could get used to the flying conditions there. "You've got to know each pitch like the back of your hand," Kev had told her before handing her a crushed lager can. "Six-thirty sharp. The Harpies will be training this afternoon, so we need to be in and out. Do not miss that portkey."

Katie yawned and headed to the bathroom, taking a long hot shower to wake herself up. She toweled off and pulled on her dressing gown before moving to the kitchen to start making breakfast. As she passed her table, she noticed an owl sitting there that hadn't been there when she'd gone to bed. She'd left the window open for Áine, who still wasn't back yet. Puzzled, she broke the seal on the parchment and quickly scanned it.

Her heart pounding, she grabbed her wand and flicked on the wireless just as they were recapping the news.

Fire. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. No injuries.

She sank into the chair. It sounded like the whole shop had been destroyed. All of George and Fred's work; Fred's sodding legacy. All gone. And George had kept a lot of Fred's things in the flat. Were those all gone too? Would the Weasleys only have their memories and a few photographs now to remember their son?

George must be devastated, she thought to herself. Losing everything like that. She knew she wasn't his favourite person at the moment, but that didn't matter. Not when something like this happened. She quickly grabbed a quill and some parchment and began to write.

Charlie,

I just heard what happened on the Wireless. They said that no one was hurt, but I'm sure that George and Lee are pretty shaken up, at the very least. Are they at the Burrow? Do you know what caused the fire?

I've got to take a sodding portkey to Holyhead in a bit, but I'll try and skive off early today. If you need money to help rebuild the shop, I don't have much, but you can have what I've got. I'll start a collection with the League. Do manual labour. Anything.

I hope you're doing okay, too. And if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

Love,
Katie
