Hestia exited the Sweet Shop, the bag of peppermints clutched tightly in her hand. She didn't know why she'd bought them for Percy - they hadn't spoken since the break-up. But his birthday was coming up soon and she did really want to be his friend. She shushed the small part of her that wanted to get back together with him. That just wasn't in the cards anymore.
Instead, she strolled down Diagon Alley, looking in shop windows. Hestia felt like treating herself. A new book, perhaps, or a lovely new robe. She caught her reflection and frowned. Perhaps it was time for a haircut.
