Summary: Lisa gives in and owls invitations to the beach party.
Completion: Incomplete

After having lunch with her family on Saturday, Lisa hadn't been able to decide how in the world she was going to invite enough people to this insane beach party to make Colleen happy. The list of her closest friends wasn't even ten people, and even adding "friends to be" only brought it up to a dozen or so. She knew and was friendly with plenty of other people, but she'd really wanted to avoid planning another massive party and inviting half of the wizarding world. Then again, Colleen was really shouldering all of the burden of planning the thing, so who was she to complain about owling a few invitations?

It was easy enough to pick up a stack of postcards from one of the shops on the beach--though the gloomy, rainy weather didn't put her in much of a beach party sort of mood--and after a couple of hours holed up in her room, Lisa had come up with what she thought was a pretty decent note and list of potential guests. If this wasn't enough people then, well, she'd have to threaten Daniel with Unforgivable Curses until he brought up enough blokes from Uni to make up the difference.

Dear friend,

My sister-in-law is hosting a beach party this month and has insisted I invite some friends. As such, I cordially request your presence at Redcar Beach in North Yorkshire on Saturday, August 31 at 5 o’clock. Food and drinks will be provided. Just bring your lovely self, a friend (or two!), and your swimsuit. Apparition "services" will begin at approximately 4:30 from my house (#42 South Vinewood Avenue, Hogsmeade).

Please know that this is a Muggle party, and though my family knows of our world, there will be those present who do not. I have included some details for your convenience, including the transit you would have used to get into town as well as a list of hotels where you could be staying. It likely won't be necessary, but it can't hurt to be prepared! If you've not spent much time in the Muggle world, please feel free to ask any questions you might have.

I hope to see you there!

Lisa

[Additional note on the invitations for Terry, Michael, Anthony, Cho, Angelina, Padma, and Parvati]

PS - The beach house is big enough for some of us to stay the night, if you'd like to join me for that second phase of the party. Colleen's full breakfast is fab, so you don't want to miss it. I promise I won't make you sleep on the floor (even you, Corner).
