Verity would be over in just a few minutes, so Lisa hurriedly sorted through the refrigerator. She'd gotten home from work later than she intended, so she handed had time yet to heat anything up, but she hoped her friend-to-be wouldn't mind. Digging to the back, she grabbed the container of pasta she'd made Sunday for lunch and then closed the door. There were already several other containers littering the counter--a much better selection that she'd even realised--and she added the last one to the pile.
If someone had told her this morning that she would be having a leftovers party, she'd have called them crazy. But then she'd run into Verity in Diagon Alley at lunchtime, and here she was. She had to admit, the idea had a certain humorous charm, and it was nothing if not cheap. She wondered what Verity would be bringing as she got out proper dishes and utensils.
