Gwenog stood in front of the prospective girls. Some were just that - girls. Not even out of Hogwarts. Others were well past their prime, if they'd even had one.
Still, there were some notable names among the masses, and Gwenog eyed them for a moment before clearing her throat.
"Alright, ladies! Welcome. You're all here because you think you have what it takes to be a Harpy. You don't. None of you can walk onto the team and just be a Harpy. Some of you might be good enough to become Harpies one day. And that's what we're here to find out.
We're not going to go easy on you. This is going to be difficult. And painful. Because that's what Professional Quidditch is like. Now, if you get too broken, you can pay a visit to Healer Jones," Gwenog instructed, pointing out Hestia who waved. "Yes we are related, and don't bother sucking up to her because she knows nothing about Quidditch and likes it that way." She laughed.
"We'll start with speed trials and obstacles. Then we'll move on to endurance. After that, those of you who are still able to hold onto your brooms will be split into teams for skirmishes. If you think you made a mistake in coming here today, leave now while we set everything up. It'll be a lot more embarrassing later.
"Show me what you've got, ladies."
