Anthony declined the remaining muffin which did look rather pathetic at this point. Although, it was a perfectly lovely muffin before he had - What exactly had Anthony done? That was a hell of a lot of drama for someone to just end up sitting down and eating their own breakfast. She sighed as she decided she should probably give up trying to figure out Anthony Goldstein.
He surprised her again when he interrupted John’s reply to her question. It was a bit rude. Well, maybe not for Anthony. He explained they were neighbours, which John acquiesced as much as he could with Anthony taking over the conversation. She hadn’t known Anthony lived above the bakery. No wonder he knew there was almond in the croissants. The git could have just said so.
Anthony then said they also worked together. “Oh,” she looked at John, “you work at Obscurus Books, too?” Anthony interrupted them again saying he should leave for work, and John should too. Well, at least Anthony was acting more like his usual self now. She looked apologetically at Anthony’s friend, “Maybe I’ll run into you again, John,” she paused to dart a sharp look at Anthony, “and maybe I’ll get to talk to you longer next time.”
