"Hiya, Hannah," Ernie said, taking the seat next to Hannah and kissing her on the cheek as he sat.

"What's up?"

Just as he sat down, a Butterbeer was placed in front of him. "Thanks," he smiled.

"Ernie," Hannah greeted her best friend and grinned. "Not much, just thought we could use dinner at the pub again."

"You're welcome." She drank of her own butterbeer. "So how brutal was training today? Just brutal? Or did some bones already break?"

Ernie rubbed his stomach. "Not too terribly bad, but I'm starving. I could eat a horse." He laughed.

"How about you? How was your day, Hannah Banana?"

Hannah laughed. "I swear you need to start putting more money into your grocery fond. It beggars description how much you consume these days." She sighed comically. "At least, it isn't dough."

"It was okay. Tony ate dough and Tessa threw a tantrum when she spilled water colours on her dress but the rest of the day was - as Tessa would say - fabilicious." She grinned.

"Well, I might eat a lot, but I burn it all off, you know. Auror training isn't all studying and whatnot, got quite a few bruises to prove it," he said, wheezing a little. "Least there's potion for that. I don't think they've invented anything to reverse the effects of dough-eating."

He laughed.

"I am not concerned about your weight. I am concerned about my money in the household budget." Hannah said wrily and then wordlessly pulled up the sleeve of her shirt to show off a rather prominent bruise. "That happens when you go too close to a manned swing." She gingerly rubbed the discolored spot.

"Good you can laugh about it." She grinned. "Tessa couldn't."

"As long as I've good food in my stomach and good company to share stories with, I've got a pretty good sense of humour about almost anything," Ernie chuckled, draining the last of his drink.
