Cho was curled up on her couch reading, not a textbook this time but a history book, to relax a little after perusing so many books on healing. She had just finished a chapter and was debating a snack, when she heard a knock at the door. She marked her place with a bookmark before getting up to see who would be her first visitor to the flat.

She opened her door and laughed excitedly when she saw it was Padma. “Well, it’s about time!” She pulled Padma into the flat and engulfed her in a hug. “I thought I was going to have to get a formal invitation engraved and sent to you.”

If Padma had even remotely expected the welcome that she got when the door opened, then it had been in a very remote imagined reality in which the world was filled with Cheering charms, puppies, kittens and the universe's biggest mound of dark chocolate. She found herself laughing even while she hugged Cho back and tried to regain her footing. "Sorry," she laughed, "you know how time and the mind can be." It was an admittedly lame excuse. She pulled out of the hug just enough to grin at Cho. "You look fantastic! I'm so glad you're back."

She remembered the small-ish object in her cloak pocket and removed it with a delighted, "Oh!", and then un-shrunk it with a subtle flick of her wand. A sweets box now sat in her hand. "I didn't come empty handed, either. You still like your chocolate dark, yes?"

“I do know, Padma, time gets away from me sometimes too. No worries.” It was really good to see her friend again. It didn’t matter how much time they spent apart, that bond would always be there. “It’s good to be back. I missed you.” She smiled, “I have to say, you’re looking quite fit and fine yourself there. You need to fill me in and tell me what you’ve been doing lately.”

Cho watched as Padma removed something from pocket and used her wand to -. Dark chocolate! Her friend had brought her dark chocolate. She grinned, “I like the way you think, Padma."

"Seriously, come in, get comfy, and let the chocolate confidences begin."

Padma laughed again and took a cursory but by no means evaluating look around the flat. She was still smiling as she sat down on an available and very comfortable looking chair, shrugging her cloak off in an after-thought. "Well," she said, "I do have the occasional moments of brilliance, though I do realise they can sometimes be few and far between." She grinned, clearly kidding, and shook her head. "I mean, it's not like I was in Ravenclaw or something."

Making a rather expansive gesture, she set to replying to Cho's request. "Well, I'm still at the Prophet...for now. I...think I've finally decided to go after my Master study in Runes," she said, although she didn't sound entirely certain about either of them. "But what about you? How did your interview at St Mungo's go? I'm sure you were brilliant, of course. They would be completely off their blocks not to have a clever witch like yourself."
