Hannah yawned as she poured the boiling water into the tea pot. After the exams and the last days of the internship, she had really looked forward to some sleeping and late breakfasts.
She was still in her pyjamas and her terry robe, making breakfast for her and Ernie.
She ran a hand through her unruly locks and picked the hot toast out of the toaster before she let it fall into a small basket.
Hannah was just in the process of transferring the jam and butter to the kitchen table when she heard the picking of several beaks on the window. Mail time, she sighed and left the butter in the icebox before she went to the window, taking the bag of owl threats off the counter.
It was the usual but the fact that one owl flew straight to her and dropped a roll of parchment while two others wouldn't let go of their charge made Hannah perk up.
"Zach! Ernie! Get down! The NEWT results are in, it seems!" She called excited and eagerly took the scroll the owl had dropped for her.
