Dean had left his portrait of Lavender at the studio. He'd spent all day and half the night Sunday on it, and if he hadn't already made plans to have dinner with Seamus tonight, he'd still be at the studio working on it. It had been really hard to concentrate on work all day with the painting over in the corner calling to him. Carine had noticed how distracted he seemed, but rather than be irritated with him, as he'd expected, she'd just laughed and patted him on the shoulder.

Thankfully, he'd only had a few restless moments at home before Seamus got home with the food. He practically jumped down the stairs--anxiousness hadn't rid him of his appetite, at least.

"Hey, mate," he said, coming into the kitchen. He filled a glass with water for himself and held up another empty one at Seamus questioningly. "That smells bloody marvellous."

Seamus grinned as Dean came in, looking fairly energetic if a bit tired round the edges. He nodded when Dean held up a glass for some water. "Thanks, mate. And I know it smells good; you're lucky I didn't scarf it all down on the way back. I'm bloody starving."

He took the glass and chugged half of it before he sat, pulling some fish and chips toward him. "So, that datebook thingy you've started must actually be working," he said. "Since you remembered about today." Felt weird to be scheduling time with his best friend, but Dean was too busy not to need something to help keep track of things.

He filled Seamus's glass and brought both over to the table, taking a seat across from him. "No, you're lucky you didn't scarf it down. I'm hungry enough there might have been hexing involved if you'd come home empty-handed."

Dean eagerly dug into his portion of the food, pausing only to laugh at his friend's statement. "Bloody thing's the bane of my existence, but I don't think I could live without it right now. Come to think of it, reminds me of someone I know." he said, laughing as he gave Seamus a pointed stare. "Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment." Then he shook his head and took another bite of fish. "Never thought I'd see the day when I stooped to this level, but what can a bloke do?"

Neville thanked Gran and Tibbs for the basket of food she'd had the elf prepare for him to bring home. He wondered if Dean or Seamus might be about or if he'd be eating alone. After hanging up his cloak and casting a spell to clean his boots, he headed to the kitchen.

He held up his basket and laughed. "You two didn't tell me there was a party tonight. Is there room for one more? I come bearing stew, bread and a pumpkin pie."
