Katie lay on her bed in her pyjamas. It was ridiculous, spending all day in bed. There was so much she could be doing. But the Healer had told her she had to stay in bed or stay at St. Mungo's so she'd chosen her own bed. She'd left the hospital as soon as she could. They'd healed up her broken arm and ribs pretty well - they were a bit sore, but otherwise okay. It was her concussion that had them worried. She'd spent the night in the hospital, unable to sleep and being scanned for signs of serious brain trauma. When they'd decided that she wasn't in danger, they'd released her under strict conditions. No flying, running or any other physical activity for at least a week. Absolutely no alcohol.
So Katie lay in bed, wishing she had a Muggle telly. Her eyes hurt when she tried to read, but she'd probably've been okay with watching soaps or videos. Fife hopped up on to the bed and she stroked him, waiting for Dean to come by after work. She wondered how long he'd be able to stay and hoped it was for a while. She'd be dead from boredom before the week was out.
