Michael had finished The Pickwick Papers last night after his chat with Greg. He'd wondered if maybe Tattered Pages might have some of Dickens' work, or something similar, at least. It was fun to have time to read for pleasure again, even if it was only for a little while.

He blinked a couple of times when he entered the shop, to give his eyes a chance to get used to the change from the brightness outside. He spied Bradley poking among the books.

"Oi, Bradley! Long time, no see!"

RB looked up when he heard his name and grinned. "Corner! How went NEWTs? You relieved to be done?" He'd been sitting on the floor, looking over a bottom shelf and stood, offering his hand.

"I can honestly tell you that I've never been more relieved in my entire life, RB." He grinned down at him and shook his hand. "Although it is hard to believe 'm finally done with schoool, you know?" He shrugged. "Feels different than I thought it would."

"Finding anything good down there?"

He tossed back his head and laughed. "I can imagine. Some days I feel like revision is pretty much only broken up by Quidditch practice and more revision." RB liked studying and would probably revise anyway but there was a difference between having to do it and wanting to do it. "Bound to feel different than you thought considering how different this year has been for your class. It'll probably feel different again once you start work. You wanted Auror Training, right?"

He nodded, "Yeah. There's some great stuff mixed in with the horrid, even in the same journal. This one," he held up a beautiful leather covered journal, "has the absolute worst love poems I've ever read. Apparently the bird was in love with some bloke who wouldn't even look her way. The poems are horrible but her prose is full of really dark humor."

Reed had nearly lost track of time at Tattered Pages. He was supposed to meet Mandy at the end of her shift at Honeydukes so they could spend some time together before he had to head back to the castle. He understood that it was hard for her to get Hogsmeade Weekends off since Honeydukes was always so busy. Reed was just thankful she didn't have to work the entire day. He'd missed her.

"Hi, Mandy!" It looked like he was right on time after all. She was just coming out of Honeydukes when he arrived. He kissed her cheek and took her hand. He looked through the window of the shop. "It's still crowed in there. I'm glad they didn't ask you to stay. You're probably exhausted."

They walked to The Three Broomsticks, which thankfully wasn't quite as packed as Honeydukes. "Let's get that table over there," he pointed to a free one on the far side.

What exactly was it about Reed Bradley that had her going all weak in the knees? The butterflies in her stomach fluttered and flitted as he greeted her, his lips setting her cheek aflame.

"Perfect!" Mandy smiled, giddily, heading toward the table and unbuttoning her cloak.

"How are you?" she asked, cheeks flushing in the warmth of the pub.

"I'm great. It's been a good day. Although, I probably spent too much time in Tattered Pages. It's easy to get lost in there." He and Mandy had explored the shop together once so she knew what he was like in there.

"Butterbeer or something else? Are you hungry?" He asked as he took off his coat and draped it over the back of his chair. It would probably be faster if he went up to the bar to fetch drinks.

"I could spend days in there and not get bored," Mandy admitted. "Sometimes I think I could be quite happy as a librarian." She chuckled softly.

"Butterbeer would be great. Maybe we can split a plate of chips and cheese or something? I'm not starving, but I could do with a snack." Besides, it was always more fun to share food.
