Neville smiled, "So, did you leave anything for me to help with in the kitchen or did you do it all yourself? Not that I wouldn't understand anyone who has seen me brew a potion doubting my culinary skills."

"Of course I left things. I actually have a glazed ham in the oven, but I thought we could do the mashed potatoes together," she winked, heading into the kitchen.
"I even practiced on Monday, just to test out the recipe, mind you. I think it will be easy for you to make, and it's bloody tasty, too." She gestured to the ingredients already set on the table. "All you have to do is mix- the potatoes are already boiled. I'll give you directions and you can put things together. Okay?"

He looked back into her eyes, then let his gaze roam her entire face before he licked his lips and picked her up to slide her onto his lap. "The thing about kissing is that there are lots of different kinds and lots of different ways to go about it. I suppose that means, I might need to kiss you more than once. It's important to find the right kiss for the situation." He bent forward and just barely flicked his tongue across her lower lip. "Wouldn't you agree, Pansy?" With that line falling from his lips, he slid hand into her hair, lightly cupping her jaw and kissed her.

Her hands rested on his chest as he kissed her, but she soon found one had made its way into his hair, playing with a strand. She was kissing, or rather being kissed by, Neville Longbottom on her sofa. That meant this was real, at least for now, anyway. Real, and a bit scary. He was sort of suave and rather perfect- Pansy, though, was far from it.
Still, she was enjoying this immensely, and would worry about everything else later.
