Michael checked to make sure he hadn't spilled eggs down the front of his shirt at breakfast. He'd decided to speak with the Headmistress first about his eye before he went to Miss Tonks or Auror Robards with his concerns.

He knew that Headmistress McGonagall would be busy again this morning, judging from the owls he'd seen entering and leaving the castle as he walked in from Hogsmeade. He presented himself at the gargoyle a few minutes before his scheduled appointment, and rode the stairs up.

"Good morning, Headmistress. Thank you for agreeing to see me this morning."

"Good morning, Mr. Corner. You're welcome. It's my pleasure. Please have a seat?"

After he was settle, Minerva asked, "What may I do for you?"

Michael decided he'd get straight to the point. "I'm a bit concerned about my career plans after I take my NEWT's. My plan has been to enter the Auror training program, but I have a question regarding a medical issue."

"I'm still having trouble with the vision in my left eye after the events of last year." He fiddled with his glasses. "I went to see the family Healer over hols and he assures me it will heal in time, but I'm a bit nervous that it will prevent me from being accepted." He looked at the Headmistress. "Are you aware of the medical qualifications for Aurors?"

Minerva considered, "Yes, I do know there are physical fitness and health qualifications for trainees. I don't have the specifics however. Did your Healer give you any indication how long it will take for full vision to return?"
