Lee had been feeling restless all week.
At first, he thought it might be his workload, or maybe he wasn't eating well. But then, he found himself staring out the window this morning over a cup of tea. He thought for a moment, and realized he could not remember the last time he was outside.
He left his tea cup in the sink and pulled on his trainers. He went over to the window and opened it wide, taking a deep breath of the chilly air. It was foggy and damp out, but it wasn't unbearably cold. He peeked over at Lady, who was dozing on her perch.
"You want to go out, Lady?" He asked, gently stroking he soft feathers. She glared at him for disturbing her, tucked her face under he wing, and went back to sleep. Lee shook his head, "Homebody."
Lee stopped in the loo to brush his teeth. Around a mouthful of toothpaste foam, he called out, "Hey, George? Want to go out for a bitC
