Luna sat down with a paper for the first time that day. She didn't have a subscription to the Prophet- they weren't trustworthy or credible enough for Luna's tastes. But she and her Dad had heard, over lunch, some murmurs about an editorial, so after Daddy left to get back to work, Luna had asked the gentleman who was about to throw away his paper if she could look at it.
She settled back on the bench across from the market and flipped open to the editorials. When she was finished, she felt angry, but not surprised in the least. She shook her head slowly and wondered what her dad would think of it.
Still, it was a pleasant day, and Luna wouldn't let the insecurities of one woman get to her. If Hogwarts could recover from the reign of Umbridge, this would be no problem, she thought, and was satisfied. She just hoped no one else let it hurt their feelings. She looked around the village and spotted a trashcan not too far away, so she got up from her spot on the bench and headed over there, wondering if she'd see any of her older friends. Ginny was spending time with one of her brothers today, she thought, so otherwise she might get some hot cocoa and spend the day inside Tattered Pages.
