Oliver straighted his tie and made sure his bright blue shirt was properly tucked into his trousers before shrinking Alicia's gift and tucking it in his pocket. Grabbing the bouquet of white roses, he locked his door, heading upstairs to pick her up for their date. He hadn't planned this one out like he had some of their others, but had at least made reservations at Circe. It wasn't all that exciting, but the food was good and he'd made sure to request a table towards the back corner, so they could have some privacy. Not that they'd need it for anything, really, but he wanted to make sure her birthday was a success.
Knocking on Alicia's door, Oliver waited, hoping he wasn't running late. Last night had been fun, if a bit frustrating. He'd wanted to spend time dancing with Al, and felt very selfish when he became jealous that she was spending more time talking to people than with him. It was stupid, since it was her party and all. He knew she needed to be a good hostess, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He wouldn't have expected her to do anything different, and he'd quickly found others to talk to as to not appear to be pouting. The last thing she needed on her birthday was her not boyfriend pouting.
