It may have been raining instead of snowing, but the bite in the air didn't make it seem any warmer than last weekend as Dean walked next door late in the evening. Katie didn't know he was coming, but he really hoped she wouldn't mind. He could have waited till Saturday to see her, but he'd spent most of the day in a really awful mood, and he really didn't think that would be conducive to partying. If he could manage to raise his spirits now, tomorrow would be much better as their official date. And she always made him laugh, so who better to help his mood?
He rang the bell once and then stuffed hands deep into his pockets again.
