RP: Visiting the headmistress

It had been a long time in waiting, but Draco had finally arranged to meet Minerva McGonagall this weekend. It was for this reason that he was now climbing up the stairs to the seventh floor, his robes feeling entirely too heavy by the time he reached the sixth floor. It was colder in Hogwarts than he remembered it being - but there had been worse winters before than this one... Maybe it was just projection - a place that had once seem safe that had been invaded. When he reached it, he spoke to the Gargoyle.
"If you don't mind, Professor McGonagall is expecting me." He waited for the gargoyle to relay the message, then advanced up the stairs when they revealed, knocking on the door of the Headmistress' Office. He was starting to get over the familiar sensation of climbing the stairs to see Severus Snape, his godfather, sitting on the other side of the desk. McGonagall had that kind of affect on her surroundings.
"Draco Malfoy, if you please," he said, to the door.
