Neville landed for what seemed like the 30th time that day. He was marginally better than he'd been the last 6, and so much better than the first 8 or 9 times, that he felt as if they'd really accomplished something today. "If nothing else my landings are smoother. Thanks, Harry." His friend's instructions were really good. Neville found it easy to follow along. "I like the view from up there but I still feel nervous anytime I'm over the rooftops."
He sighed, "We get up so far and I feel like Uncle Algie's going to fly up and push me off my broom and I really don't think I've got any bounces left in me. When I get nervous, I start to have trouble controlling the broom. Shifting focus seems to straighten it out, but how do you keep from losing focus in the first place?" Neville cocked his head to one side, "How do you do it Quidditch? You're flying, trying to find the Snitch, watching for Bludgers, and keeping an eye on the other Seeker all at once. So it must be possible to divide your attention and still focus on flying."
