Angelina had an extra bag of sweets (one she and Wayne hadn't eaten their way through), and she hoped it was enough to soothe a potential ache.
She hadn't had an opportunity to talk to George about her new job opportunity. In fact, last night she had gone to bed before George and Lee had come home, and she had gotten up to go running with Roger before either of them had stirred. So, she'd left him a note, saying she wouldn't be in to work that day.
Angelina doubted George would be terribly upset with her new job arrangement, especially since he had given her a job at the joke shop because she had practically begged him for it. He could do to save some money and not have to pay her--even if it was only part-time.
But she had a huge bag of sweets to possibly bribe him into still loving her. He should be upstairs soon, as the shop would be closing in the next five minutes.
