"There be nothin' fer it but ter be a gettin' it done," Hagrid said as he hefted another one of the giant pumpkins onto the sledge to have them moved up to the castle. "Thanks fer lendin' a hand with this 'ere, Neville. I'll be back fer the next load or sen' someone back with the cart if in you think yer able ter manage gettin' it back up tha' hill." At Neville's assurance he could handle the sledge, Hagrid set off hauling the pumpkins up to the Great Hall. He supposed he could have hitched up a thestral to pull the load, as Dumbledore had often suggested, but it weren't much for a man his size to handle himself.
At the castle, Hagrid carried in one of the pumpkins himself and looked about pleased. "Aye, this'll be doin' fine. Nice work, you lot." Hagrid had been a might nervous leaving the 7th Years to set up the tarps and such but there's wasn't much to be done about since Professor Flitwick had classes to teach all afternoon. It was the first year Hagrid had had to be responsible for both the moving of the giant pumpkins to be carved and seeing that they were carved too. Luckily, the students who'd volunteered to lend a hand seemed to be taking the responsibility serious like.
