Daphne Greengrass walked into the Hog's Head pub, walked up to the counter and ordered a double shot of firewhiskey and put her head in her hands. There was nothing else do to but sit and wait. After her glass game, Daphne raised it to her lips. The cold whiskey burned in her mouth. It felt ... not good, but right, somehow.
Tomorrow was the day. The day Daphne didn't know if she would be strong enough to handle. She wasn't sure exactly what to do or what to say to her brother. All she knew was that she was hurting inside and she was anxious and hadn't been able to hold down food for the last 24 hours.
So Daphne sat and drowned her sorrow and her fear in firewhiskey.
