Harry took a flagon of apple juice out of the fridge and moved to the cabinet for a couple of glasses. He and Hermione had just some in from walking, and she'd made it further than ever. Maybe Friday had given her a bit more confidence, Harry mused. She'd been alright in the crowd, he'd noticed, and maybe that made her feel like she could handle more in the open, too. He poured juice into each glass and replaced the container in the fridge ( ... )

"Hey." She looked up and smiled. "Thank you for the juice. I think I have all this material organized now. They sent a lot."

She picked up the glass of juice and took a sip before she patted the sofa beside her. "You can sit here, so we can look at these together. What do you want to start with? There's a book with furniture for bedrooms, one with dining rooms and kitchen things, and one with sitting room sort of furniture."

"Should we choose things for the sitting room if we don't know what the designers have in mind yet?" She frowned. "I'd hate to get my heart set on a comfy looking chair only to find out that color clashed. Or maybe they can just charm it to suit the room? This decorating stuff is so complicated."

Harry fidgeted slightly when she patted the cushion next to her. Might be better for all involved if he took the floor on the other side of the table, considering the last couple days. Evenings; whatever. Inwardly, though, he shook his head. This was Hermione, after all, and she was just ... Hermione. Swallowing, he moved forward and took a seat by her on the sofa.

He took a gulp of juice. "I suppose we can look at the sitting rooms first," he said. "I don't have a preference."

Listening to her, he shrugged, reaching for the book and opening it, placing it between them. "Dunno. Maybe they'll decide colors based on what we pick? If there's a chair that we have to have, or something, they'd work around it, maybe."

"You have to have a preference, Harry. I'm sure there are some awful things in this catalog. Things that make the current furniture look good," she pointed out. She watched him put the book between them, which was just too awkward an angle to actually read ( ... )

"Just our usual Sunday walk. I've made it to the corner and around now," she said proudly. She didn't know if Ron even knew she'd had trouble walking outside, but she was still pleased at her progress.

Ron started to say what he wanted, and she had to smile because he'd obviously given it a lot of thought. More than her, at least. She just knew she wanted a bed and a desk. Other than that, she hadn't even consdered colors or other furniture she might need. She didn't know why Ron needed a table in his room when there was a game room upstairs for playing chess plus a table here in the sitting room. It wasn't like Harry'd go to his room to play with him when there were tables all over.

"It's probably not too much, but we'll have to see how big the room is to make sure all that can fit," she said, smiling at Ron before she looked at Harry. "What about you? Do you have your room all figured out yet?"

"I think the room on the first floor's a pretty good size," Harry said, trying to think. "It'll probably be able to hold that stuff, I'm thinking."

He thought about his own room; before now he'd not even known which room he'd take, so he wasn't exactly sure. He shrugged. "Well, the big bed is a must, and then I suppose I'll want a desk and wardrobe. Maybe, I guess, a chair, or something."

"Yeah, I reckon that room'd work."

Ron was glad he'd found his best mates talking about the redecorating. The three of them were accomplishing a lot, he thought, just by airing their ideas about their individual rooms.

"What colours did you want, Harry?" He wondered if Harry's taste would be close to his own, or a lot different.

Harry gave it a bit of thought, reaching for the paint swatches and flipping through them a little before he answered. "I think I'd want blue, mostly. Maybe some bits of other colors around," he said. "Nothing on the walls, though. I think white's good for the walls, and then I'll have some things in there that are blue."
