Molly apparated to Shell Cottage with a pop, adjusting her wide-brimmed sunhat. She checked over the potato salad and flowers that she was carrying and made sure that she hadn't splinched anything. Then she stepped out of the way as Charlie apparated in with a slightly louder pop. He was laden down with food, blankets, drinks, a wireless, and anything else Molly thought they might possibly need for the picnic.

"Thank you, love," Molly said, kissing her son on the cheek, "you can run along to Andromeda's now." She looked at him fondly as he disapparated. She was very much looking forward to seeing Andromeda and little Teddy again, and she was pleased Charlie had asked them along.

Molly took out her wand and flicked it at the packages so they floated along behind her as she walked over to the cottage. She knocked on the door and then stuck her head inside.

"Bill? Fleur? It's Mum!"

"I am in ze kitchen, Mama," Fleur called out. Normally she would have gone to greet her guest but she was just taking something out of the oven.

Fleur smiled as Molly entered with an arm full of things. "Oh, anozzer wireless. Zis is good. We can have one for ze beach alzo. Bill is in ze yard in back."

Molly made her way back to the kitchen, her little trail of packages bouncing along happily behind her.

"Hello Fleur," she said, and waited until Fleur was free before hugging and kissing her daughter-in-law hello. "Yes, I wasn't sure if you needed extra. I also brought some more potato salad, but ah," she caught sight of the large bowl on the counter, "I see you had no trouble at all. Excellent. Well, it's always handy to have around for leftovers. Arthur enjoys it in his lunches," Molly added.

"Is the food all going to be outside then? I'll go take this out to Bill," and with another kiss, Molly was headed back outdoors in search of her eldest, her packages floating merrily behind her.

Bill had just taken an ice chest of butterbeer down to the beach for later when he saw his mum making her way through the chairs and blankets set out. He hurried to help her, and they unloaded on the tables by the house, already starting to fill with food.

"Morning." He said, dropping a kiss on her cheek. "Glad you could make it." He gestured to the tables and blankets. "Pick wherever to set up for the afternoon."

He gave his mum a hug once she was unencumbered. "Think Dad'll be along later?" He'd need a buffer if he started grinning like an idiot and mum started guessing.

"Morning, Bill. What a lovely day for a picnic," she said, beaming up at him before setting everything down and unpacking.

"Oh yes," Molly said, returning Bill's hug. "He's going by the shop to get George and Lee. I think everyone will be along later, I just stopped by early to bring some food and see if you two needed a hand with anything." She patted his cheek affectionately.

"Yeah, think the weather should hold." He looked up, grinning at the sky. "But the water will be great either way. Gonna go swimming, mum?" He teased her.

"Brilliant. I think we're well in hand. Got the pig roast going, and Fleur's got most of the food ready besides. I lucked out, finding a woman as organized in the kitchen as you." He winked at her. "Sit, put up for feet. Can I get you anything? Punch, butterbeer?"

"Me? Swimming? Oh, Bill, I don't think so. I'll leave that to the young ones," she said, nodding at the beach where some of her children's friends and classmates were beginning to frolic in the water. "Sometimes your father and I go for a little night swim in the pond when none of you are around, but, uh, no, not today," she finished, flushing slightly.

"You did very well, Bill. But it wasn't luck. You are rather charming, you know," she said. "She's a wonderful woman, and she'll be a fine mother someday." Hopefully soon went unsaid. Molly didn't want to pressure Bill too much, not when he was doing so well with everything.

She sat down on a chair. "Butterbeer would be lovely, dear. Thank you." She smiled up at him and then rooted through her handbag for her book. A nice relaxing read was just what she was looking for today.

He bit back a laugh, trying not to choke at the idea of his parents frolicking the way he and Fleur did. Because thinking about either of them naked was so not on.

"Well, she was infinitely more patient than I could have been." Hindsight had him wonder what had taken him so bloody long to realize she was the one, but it was neither here nor there. They were together and that's what counted. He turned to busy himself with something on tha table so his smug grin wasn't apparent. "Yeah, she will at that."

He went to get his mum a butterbeer, handing her the bottle. "Think I best make sure no one is trying to drown the other." He dropped another kiss on her forehead and made his way to the beach.
