A turkey, no cheese, mustard on rye with lettuce and tomato for Daphne; and a turkey, cheese, no mustard on wheat with lettuce and tomato for herself. )
She would have hugged her on the spot, but that was completely unprofessional and Daphne wouldn't risk losing the only job she had for a hug, so she grinned widely and asked what was up with her friend.
"Thanks!" Bringing her lunch was completely warranted, but the silly manner in which she'd announced herself was a little out-of-character for Sasha. "What's with you today?"

Daphne unpacked her sandwich on the counter. There weren't currently any other customers and she hadn't had anything to eat all day. Both Hester and Pius were in the back working on potions, so Daphne was sure they wouldn't mind.
She took the sandwich out of the wrapper, then checked to make sure there was no cheese. She didn't like cheese on her turkey sandwiches, but Sasha knew that... The perfect sandwich: turkey, lettuce, tomato, and just a little bit of mustard on rye. There was nothing better for lunch.
"How's the internship going so far?" Daphne asked before taking a dainty bite of her sandwich.

Being at work with Ernie everyday, however, was slightly awkward. The two of them weren't really talking and hadn't been since the Quidditch match. But they weren't NOT talking either. They seemed to have reached a mutual, unspoken agreement to avoid each other without actually avoiding each other. Or something.
"It's alright. Not thrilling, but I'm learning some interesting things."

Daphne pondered how her own internship was going and what kinds of things she was getting experience with. She hadn't expected it to be the most interesting of jobs, but at least it was better than standing around the shop with no customers... or doing inventory. That was the worst. But she hadn't had to do much of that recently as she'd been sure to stock up on lots of supplies the last time.

She sighed.

He was about to make his way straight to the products he wanted when he heard a familiar voice. Surely it couldn't be- he poked his head around a display - ah, but it was. He caught a snatch of conversation, and curiosity getting the better of him, he approached the two girls.
"What's bizarre?" he asked. He smiled politely at Daphne. "Hello, Daphne."

When you were talking to your best mate about a boy, that BOY was not supposed to pop up out of nowhere.
What the hell was wrong with the universe?
"Uhh," she floundered for a moment before regaining her cool. "Just our supervisor's sudden taste for an obscene amount of sugar in his coffee."

He paused. "Unless you mean his sudden taste, in which case, I quite agree, it's a little strange. There's probably a good reason for it, though. Should we ask about it next time?"
Reply
"I don't know if we should ask, perhaps it's a rather personal question," she teased.

He looked at Daphne. "I-" he frowned and turned back to Sasha, "hey, you made me forget what I was here for!"

"Sorry," she grinned. That was pretty entertaining, actually.

"I need: ground scarab beetle, ginger root, and armadillo bile," he directed to Daphne.

She nodded at Ernie, then turned away to find the supplies grinning and trying not to laugh at the obvious tension between her best friend and the, she had to admit, rather adorable Hufflepuff boy.

"What are you making?" She might have recognized the ingredients for Wit Sharpening Potion if she weren't utter crap at Potions.
