Freedom.

It was a funny word to consider when applied to a stay in hospital, but it was all Hermione could really think from the time the Healer arrived before lunch to say they'd let her go home. There had been instructions, of course, and a list of things she was and was not allowed to do; though, really, what the Healers didn't know certainly wouldn't hurt them.

She was going home, so it was easy to nod and murmur agreement whether she intended to lie in bed for two to three days and rest her head, as if lying in bed would actually help if it meant she was forced to be completely on her sore back, or not. There had been warnings about not doing too much at once, limited activity even after she felt better, papers with potions and salves and how to apply and when to take, and a guide on how to wrap her wrists and arm where she hadn't even been allowed to look yet. Bones were healed and cuts had been tended, but she listened to the information about swelling, about how the soreness would last in various areas for different amounts ( ... )

It was good to be out of there. Somehow, even though her condition was the same now as it had been earlier this afternoon, it felt better, more reassuring, to have her here than at a hospital behind a curtain. Harry knew that they still needed to make this place more them, but it was home ( ... )

Kreacher hadn't said anything when they arrived, but he'd taken her cloak and then brought up a tray once they arrived in the sitting room. When he handed her her slippers, she grasped them and held them awkwardly, not wanting to grimace from the twinge in her wrist for fear he'd think she was unhappy with him.

When Harry said her room was on the first floor, she glanced at him then at Ron. "Thank you," she murmured, relieved that she wouldn't have to try to deal with stairs to get to the bathroom.

Did she want to see her room? She bit her lip, feeling even more frustrated as she started to feel tired from standing already. Her lip hurt, and she was reminded that it hadn't been healed. "I don't want to see it when I can still smell him," she whispered softly, glancing at the floor before looking back up at Fleur. "Could you help me with a shower? Please?"

Fleur had an appointment that morning but she returned to the hospital to help Ron and Harry bring Hermione home. She had paid close attention to the healer's instructions, asked a few questions, then followed as Hermione was brought home via Side-Along Apparition. Fleur had been concerned that the trip might have made Hermione dizzy but she mostly appeared tired.

"Of course. Will you want to soak in ze bath too or will ze shower be enough?" They made their way up the first flight of stairs and Fleur was surprised to see they had set up one room for them all. It didn't concern her though.

"Do you 'ave a bathrobe?" Fleur set the potions and salves she had been carrying on the table closest to the door.
