The room had been silent for a long time when Angelina heard a pounding from downstairs. None of the others really seemed to notice -- or care -- and there is only so long that you can stare at a wall, so she got up and hurried down the stairs.

The knocking became more and more insistent, and although she did not know what she expected, it certainly wasn't Percy, his breath ragged as if he had been running (did Percy Weasley really run?), a pierce of parchment crumpled in his right hand.

"Percy!" she said. "What is..."

He tore past her without letting her finish and was halfway up the stairs before she even had time to close the door.

Percy was so furious he could barely breathe. He pushed past the girl at the door (was this what she called looking after George? Really?) and dashed up the stairs.

"GEORGE!"

He found his brother in... well, he supposed it was a living room, though the furniture was completely wrecked. George sat on the ruins of a couch, arms wrapped around his knees. "Hey, Perce," he said in an odd voice.

The sight of George's misery was almost enough to make Percy stop, but the crumpled parchment in his hand reminded him why he was here. "What," he said between gritted teeth, "The hell do you think you are doing?"

"Currently, I'm sitting on the sofa. We'll budge over if you'd like to join us." George looked up at his brother and nearly smiled. Percy was furious. It was a good look on him, a familiar one. If Percy could be furious maybe the world wasn't....

No. It was.

"There's food somewhere if you're hungry."

Percy couldn't believe this. How could George just be sitting there, calmly talking about food? He flattened out the orange parchment (Weasley red, Merlin) and thrust it at his brother. "Come and Celebrate Fred Weasley's Last Laugh. How can you - even you - make fun of that? I was there, you selfish prick. I know I've always been a joke to you, but this is just fucking cruel."
