Um.
You might have guessed that I have some news that's really difficult to impart to you, for various reasons, not completely but mostly related to a certain activity which I engaged in recently that I pride myself on not generally partaking in - namely, well, drinking. Except I totally had a good reason to.
Actually, I didn't write you an owl just to tell you I went out drinking; there's more to it than that. I went to the Hog's Head, and Meghan McCormack was there. (I knew she would be before I went, that's kind of why I did.) Anyway, she looked great, like she always does, and everything was going swimmingly until she revealed that Marcus Flint had dinner with her and saw her naked.
Well, she said that quite early on, right at the start in fact, so I can't say anything went swimmingly. There was a bottle of firewhiskey there, and needless to say, I sort of maybe drank all of it.
But I'm perfectly fine now. Hannah and Susan dragged me back up to the dorms from the common room before anyone else found out and Susan fetched me a hangover potion so at least my head doesn't hurt anymore.
And you know, what? Susan and Hannah have problems of their own, but they probably don't bore their other friends by writing them a long owl with the details. I felt that you should know about this, though. For old time's sake.
